The new features of Apple iOS 4.1 are :

Virus Total is a free service that helps you check suspicious files for virus, trojans and malwares with mulitple Anti-virus softwares. And now it has a firefox plugin that will help you secure your internet browsing and as well as scan files from the internet before downloading them. And it is called VTzilla.

With this addon you’ll be able to scan your downloads before storing them from the internet with a single click. You’ll see the “Scan with VirusTotal” on the download dialog box. You’re also have ability to check urls you are trying to visit and is it a reported site or not from virustotal or virustotal community.

The addon will also add a right click feature on firefox by which you can scan suspicious urls with VirusTotal. This will keep you safe from phishing sites and malwares.

To install the plugin just visit to this VirusTotal Page. Under “How do i Start” you’ll see a “VTzilla Firefox Plugin“  link. Then you’ll be opted to install the addon. Press install, restart the firefox browser and you’re done.

This is a simple tip that will help you choose a username on Facebook for yourself or your pages. Then it’ll be easy for your friends to find it. Easily post it on sites and blogs etc for making it easier for fans to follow or like your page.

For this you’ll have to login to your facebook account. Then head over to facebook.com/username. Then you’ll be shown this page

Here you’ll be able to set a username of your choice. You are provided with some usernames already but you can choose your own username of your choice without using the recommended ones. Then check for availability and if its available you can set it as your username. Remember you won’t be able to change the username once its chosen so choose carefully. And remember the usernames can only contain characters from A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and periods (.). So you can user Uppercase words, lowercase, numbers and dots.

You can do the same for your pages. Just click on “Set a username for your Pages” link. You must be a admin of the page to set the username for the pages and have about 25 fans on the page.

Then you’ll be provided with the names of your pages, select one with more than 25 friends then think of a good username that has’nt been already taken. Then set it as a username for your page.

This trick is going to get you bypass any cpalead surveys on any site and get the downloads, ebooks and or anything the site is blocking through Cpalead. Sorry for the CPALead guys.

Then get this plugin. This is a ExException plugin. We are going to learn how to use it to block the CPAlead surveys that we are bugged with every now and then.

This plugin adds exceptions in your firefox so that only what you like appears on your browser and nothing more. If you block a site, it won’t be executed anymore. So we are going to use this feature to block the CPALead site.

Install the Plugin and restart Firefox when prompted. Then go to its option and add cpalead.com as the “Address of Website”. Then click on “More” on the bottom left with close.

Just set all the options you see like to “deny” cuz we don’t want anything from the site, right.

Then close the addons window and then go to sites using cpalead to block content. You’ll be directly take to the previously blocked content.

Just check it on some site and report back. i’ll update this post with pictures soon.
